Training at new Job
August 8 2008, 2:05 PM
I have started a new job at Pathways Adult Care Unit in Clinton, MO.
I am enjoying helping people with substance abuse issues and learning new ways to teach groups. The paperwork seems endless, but I am catching on pretty well. I am training on all three shifts, but will mostly work on the 1st shift.

New Job to Begin
July 20 2008, 2:30 PM
I will be starting a new job on Monday, July 21. I was hired on Thursday to work at Pathways Behavioral Healthcare Center. I will be working in the Adult Care Center as a Adult Substance Abuse Tech.
I am looking forward to the position as they will work with my college fall school schedule and my desire to substitute teach also during the day. They have 3 shifts which are as follows: 8-4, 4-12, and also 12-8 a.m. shift. I will be trained on all three shifts so I can relieve people who want vacations and sick time.
I will also be helping people with abuse situations. My parents are worried that I will want to take some of the people home with me to help them out, but I am sure that I will have to try to stay unattached.
I would welcome all prayers to be lifted up for me as I take on this new position.

Happy Fourth of July
July 8 2008, 1:05 AM
We had a very busy Independence holiday weekend with fireworks in Warsaw and in Clinton.
It was nice to be with family. We went to the fireworks show down at Warsaw on the Truman Lake Dam. We took a picnic supper and had lots of fun with the grandkids.
We had a wienee roast in our back yard in Clinton on Sunday night and watched the firework display right from our back yard.
The trees were in our way but we still were able to watch a beautiful display of fireworks.
Awesome!

new addition to family
July 1 2008, 12:54 AM
We have a new addition to the Carroll household. We have 6 more chickens and a bunny rabbit. We have enlarged the chicken pen and have had three eggs laid by our chickens. We are so proud and we ate our first egg today. The new chickens have been ready to lay eggs and were just waiting on Randy to build the new chicken house with nests for them to go inside and do their duty.
We have enjoyed the chickens and watching them interact with the ducks and the bunny is very fun.
I also bought another hammock with a bigger and wider area to relax in. I have only been able to relax one time so looking forward to trying it out for a longer period of time soon.
Come see us soon everybody and check out the wonderful furniture Randy has been building for me. He is very talented in this area and is really getting the hang of working with our native lumber and cedar logs he has cut. I am excited to say I really like his rustic style furniture and I think most of you will like it too.

mowing
June 20 2008, 6:18 AM
Mowing the yard with a push mower is tough, but good exercise.
I was able to mow Joel's yard at the house he bought. I mowed next to a snake and decided that was enough. If I had a riding mower, then it would have been a little safer.
I also mowed our yard with the push mower. Found our two baby chicks that must have drowned from the storm and major flooding we had on Father's Day. They were dead and I smelled them first. They must have tried to huddle under the tractor. So sad.
